The objective of the Radiologic Technology program is to prepare the graduate with demonstrated competence in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains of radiologic practice as performed by registered radiologic technologists. The program also prepares the graduate to function as a member of the health care team within the scope and practice of the Registered Radiologic Technologist as defined by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT). The program seeks to prepare the students with accountability for their personal and professional conduct as radiologic technology graduates and to meet the eligibility requirements to sit for the ARRT National Certification Exam. Students will take courses according to the sequence listed in the student handbook.

Transfer Credits

Credit may be given for previous training upon receipt of an official transcript from an
accredited college. Transferable credits are limited to a maximum of 75% of the selected
program. The College's officials reserve the right to call for additional testing for the granting of transfer credits. Only courses applicable to the program for which the student is enrolled will be accepted.

Students must have earned a grade of a ā€œCā€ or better to transfer the following courses:

  • CMP 101- English Composition
  • LME 201- Law and Medical Ethics
  • PSY 201- Psychology
  • COM 101- Effective Communications
  • LOG 201- Logic and Critical Thinking

Graduation Requirements

To be eligible for graduation from the Radiologic Technology Program, students must meet the following requirements: 

A. Successfully complete all core Radiologic Technology coursework with a minimum grade of 80%.

B. Successfully complete all required coursework, including:

  • General education courses
  • Radiologic Technology core courses
  • Laboratory and clinical components

C. Satisfactorily complete all laboratory competencies as outlined in the Radiologic Technology Program.

D. Satisfactorily complete all clinical requirements, demonstrating competency in required clinical procedures and professional behaviors.

E. Fulfill all attendance requirements for lecture, lab, and clinical components as specified in the program policies.

F. Maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification throughout the duration of the program.

G. Remain in full compliance with immunization requirements, background checks, drug screening, and all other clinical placement requirements for the entirety of the program.
